Livin’ it Up with Virtual Events and Creative Activities

Social distancing has its challenges, but here at Sandbrock Ranch, we’re committed to making sure that our residents enjoy the good things in life, stay active and healthy, and always find fun along the way while keeping themselves, their family, and their neighbors safe (Live True Value #2). Even though we are practicing safety by staying home, there’s more going on in Sandbrock Ranch than ever before, because we know that what really ties our neighborhood together as a community are the residents!

For one thing, social distancing doesn’t mean that you have to stay cooped up inside. One of the great things about living in a master-planned community in North Texas is all the wide-open spaces that surround us. You can maintain safe social distancing while enjoying the great outdoors (Live True Value #5) by walking, running, or biking on more than six miles of trails or by fishing in our fully stocked ponds.

Sandbrock Ranch Lifestyle Director Ashlyn McDaniel has been hard at work planning activities that you and your family can enjoy! (Live True Value #1) The lifestyle management team members have made it their personal mission to make sure that all residents continue to find fun and make the most of each day! Every Sunday, residents receive an email newsletter listing the coming week’s virtual events and creative activities that will help them interact with friends and neighbors and experience all the best Sandbrock Ranch has to offer. The email contains everything you need to know to participate in the events, including links to virtual classes and registration pages. However you sign up, the events are always privately shared through our resident life communications and will never be posted on our public-facing pages.

Residents at the Ranch are taking this opportunity to explore new hobbies, reconnect with some of their favorite activities, spend more time with family, and explore and experience the great outdoors! (Live True Value #4) Sandbrock Ranch is more than just a master-planned community in Aubrey, Texas; it’s home to all our residents, and we’re helping them feel at home during an uncertain time.

Craft Kit drop offs have been a nostalgic hit. So far, residents have showed off their creativity with a custom bird house decorating kit as well as a wooden egg kit for Easter! We had Taco Tuesday with food truck Mi Cocina providing delicious grab-and-go food.

.On April 17, families at Sandbrock Ranch got to put on their pith helmets and go on a Chalk Safari in search of jungle animal chalk drawings in the neighborhood. Around the same time, families also got to enjoy Family Portrait Days when a photographer took family portraits of our residents in their front yards or on their porches.

More Virtual and At-Home Activities are in the Making!

The neighborhood Step Track Challenge is going on right now through May 12. Residents are signing up through MoveSpring and encouraging one another to track their daily steps as they stay active and healthy and get outside to enjoy the great outdoors! (Live True Values #3 and #5)

That’s just one of the many things that residents have to look forward to in the coming days and weeks. There’ll be more food truck visits at Sandbrock Ranch as well as more virtual happy hours with mixologists showing residents how to make at-home cocktails for adults.

We’re also observing National Days with virtual classes and events here at Sandbrock Ranch. We had a virtual gardening class for National Gardening Day and a photo-sharing contest for National Wear Your Pajamas to Work Day. Coming up is National Superhero Day on April 28, when Sandbrock Ranch residents will be celebrating all of our real-life superheroes who are making such a difference during this difficult time: essential workers and first responders.
