Sandbrock Ranch is in Aubrey—once called the horse capital of Texas. Less than a decade ago, the land was an active ranch, and the community’s landscape and architecture pay tribute to its equestrian heritage. Long prairie grasses wave in the breeze and native trees dot the many open green spaces while a white crossbuck fence welcomes residents and guests.
Well before the first residents put down roots here, we envisioned Sandbrock Ranch as a place that people would be proud to call home, and as a community that prioritizes connection with each other, and the great outdoors. We call it a Live True lifestyle and a set of shared values shapes our days here. We cherish exploring and experiencing new things, enjoying time with family, and being active and healthy every day. That thinking inspired our amazing amenities including two fully stocked fishing lakes, winding nature trails, a resort-style swimming pool, and a one-of-a-kind 3-story treehouse that is enjoyed by the young, and the young at heart. Carriage House, our amenity center, is a natural gathering place, the setting for special events, and the social heart of our community. The result is a beautiful, vibrant, and engaged community of neighbors who think of each other as friends.
Sandbrock Ranch is all that we always imagined, and then some. So, it is with great excitement that we recently received the CAI Community of the Year Award, as well as the CAI Community Spirit Award for our 2021 Juneteenth Celebration. The CAI Community of the Year Award is given to a community association that has exhibited continued excellence over the course of the year. The CAI Community Spirit Award is presented to a community that planned and hosted an event, program, or community outreach effort in the last two years that exemplified outstanding efforts to promote community spirit. The Dallas Fort Worth Chapter of the Community Associations Institute (DFW CAI) presented these awards to CCMC, Sandbrock Ranch’s Home Owner Association management team, at its Black & White Awards Gala in Dallas on May 21.
Founded in 1973, CAI’s mission is to represent community associations all over the country and help them to build better communities by promoting harmony and connection. It was a real honor to be recognized by such a remarkable organization. At Sandbrock Ranch, our HOA is operated by a team of lifestyle professionals with CCMC, a leading community association management company. What does all of this mean for Sandbrock Ranch residents and homeowners? Simply put, the hard work that the HOA performs means less worry and more fun for you! The HOA manages a lot of the day-to-day aspects of life at Sandbrock —including maintaining our community and amenities and managing our community standards and guidelines. In addition to keeping our community looking its best, the HOA also plans a calendar full of activities and special events such as our Juneteenth Celebration, which won the CAI Community Spirit Award!
Sandbrock Ranch’s Juneteenth Celebration drew a crowd of over 350 people and was a fun afternoon during which neighbors and guests celebrated freedom and cultural heritage. Communications provided educational history about this national holiday while the highlight of the event itself was a vendor fair for black artisans and black-owned local businesses. The Sandbrock Ranch HOA team incentivized attendees to visit every booth for a chance to win a raffled prize. There were also lawn games for youth of all ages, a DJ spinning beats, and several food trucks. The Juneteenth Celebration will become an annual signature event due to its success in connecting residents, supporting local black owned businesses, and celebrating our wonderful diversity. Gatherings such as this one nurture a thriving sense of community.
While we are honored by the CAI awards, we think that the real measure of our success is in the smiles on our residents’ faces. And we never rest on our laurels.
