Without further ado, let’s meet the community manager!

Meet the Community Manager

1. Are you a local? How long have you lived in Aubrey?

I currently live in Denton, where I’ve been for almost three years now. Before that, we lived in the Seattle area for five years, but we originally hail from Southern California.

2. Where did you grow up? Big or small family?

I grew up in Southern California, near Los Angeles, and come from a large, close-knit family. I have two brothers, and my mom—being one of eight siblings—blessed me with over 35 first cousins. Nearly every weekend was spent together as a family, making holidays especially lively, filled with laughter and wonderfully memorable moments.

3. Tell us about your immediate family. Partner? Kids? Grandkids?

I’ve been happily married to my husband, Jeremy, for a little over 18 years. We’re a blended family with two wonderful adult daughters whom we’re very proud of. While the idea of grandchildren sounds exciting, we’re thoroughly enjoying this season of life with our daughters, who are both in their early 20s.

4. Pets? If so, what kind?

We have four dogs who keep us on our toes and bring us so much joy! There’s our 8-year-old English Bulldog, a 2-year-old Bernedoodle, a 2-year-old Bernese Mountain Dog, and a 1-year-old Bernedoodle. Each has its own unique personality, but they’re all full of energy and enthusiasm. We also have two “grand-pups” who visit often and add to the fun!

5. Is there anywhere special you like to travel?

That’s such a big question because we absolutely love traveling! We’ve been fortunate to visit some amazing places and still have a long list of destinations we want to explore. As a family, we’re very much “Disney Adults” and love visiting Disney World and Disneyland whenever we can. We’ve also been on five Disney cruises so far, with another one planned for later this year. In general, we love cruising because it’s a great way to experience multiple destinations—and often multiple countries—all in one vacation.

6. Any special talents or skills?

When I was a kid, I was far too curious to wait until Christmas morning to open presents. So, I taught myself how to carefully unwrap gifts without leaving any signs that I’d peeked, then rewrap them perfectly. I’ve since retired that skill because my husband and daughters now hide my gifts until it’s time to open them!

7. What are your hobbies or interests? What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

I love learning new things, which means my hobbies are constantly evolving. Photography is a big passion of mine, and this year I’m diving into creating videos to document our family adventures. I’m excited to learn both video shooting and editing to bring those memories to life in a new way.

8. What are your favorite foods?

I absolutely love cheese! It’s so versatile—you can enjoy it at any time of day, whether savory or sweet, on its own or as part of countless dishes. Give me a plate of cheese, some good bread, and a nice glass of wine, and I’m perfectly happy.

9. What are your favorite sports or teams?

I’ve lived in different parts of the country and have cheered for various teams over the years, but my one true sports love is football. I’ve been a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan since I was a little girl. While being a Cowboys fan has its challenges, I can’t imagine rooting for any other team.

10. What do you think is the best thing about Sandbrock Ranch?

For me, the best thing about Sandbrock Ranch is its vision and commitment to creating a community that connects neighbors with one another and with nature. It’s a place where you can truly feel at home.
